Marianne Urth
Marianne Urth’s studio is number 13 & 14 on the Arts trail 2020. Her abstract paintings showcase her passion for sailing, the movement and transparency of the waves, the colourful sails in splashes of white sea spray. Studio 14 features her Tread & Textile works
She writes “I love sailing and being on the water and whenever I can, I get on a boat to go cruising. In my studio at home I try to capture the untameable sea and the wind fuelled sails adding a little colour.
Most of my paintings are made in pairs, that´s the way I work the best going back and forward between two similar but different images, almost like a dialogue.
This is my fourth year in the Greenwich Village Art Trail.”
